About

Those who are led by the spirit are the sons of God

Romans 8:14

What we are about.

We are a group that meets on Saturday nights, in the basement at Christ Family Fellowship on the last Saturday of every month at 5:30 pm, in order to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Ekklesia at this time. In these times we need to hear clearly more than ever! Secondly, it’s time we begin to rightly discern the body of Christ. Jesus never called us to be passive spectators in a building under a one-man show, the “come, sit, listen, and then leave” mentality. We need to let go of the Sunday morning routine under one man merely offering up more information.

What is needed is a transformation of lives by hearing the sound of heaven as the early apostles did in the upper room on the day of Pentecost, in a environment where every member functions in their giftings.

It is not a one-man show, but a body functioning under a preeminate Christ.

True Ekklesia is when everyone experiences God and functions in the Lord’s gifts. Under the preeminence of the headship of Christ. Being led by the Holy Spirit in the simplicity of Christ in a Christ-centered, open and participatory environment.

There are some pressing questions in the body of Christ today. We seem to build so many buildings and run various programs and spend vast amounts of money on the gospel enterprise yet our culture still is in decline. We are in a post-Christian culture.  We invest vast amounts of dollars, time and human effort yet see small results in comparison to the early book of Acts church. Their culture was a lot worse than ours yet the apostles transformed their world. These men troubled their cities. One of the reasons was they understood their function as the EKKLESIA!

“to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the Ekklesia to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Ephesians 3:10-11

Jesus asked me a few years ago, “Why do you gather and what’s your motive?” This led me to realize that the ekklesia is a corporate, open and participatory gathering where everyone functions in their gifting under the headship and preeminence of Jesus Christ.
